Turn neighbors into customers.
Someone just moved in down the street.
The furnace, the water heater, the roof and the lawn are all theirs now. They don't have a guy yet. A handwritten letter from you, the local owner, is the one piece of mail they'll open, read, and stick on the fridge.
Your handwriting, real ink, every new household in your zip. No household hears from two businesses in your trade.
VALLEY AIR Heating & air · Gilroy
Hi neighbor — welcome!
I'm Mike, I run Valley Air
a few blocks from you.
If your AC ever acts up this
summer, call my cell:

Drawn with a real pen. Not a font.
You're already paying to reach these people. Here's where it goes.
- Door hangersPulled off the knob and tossed with the pizza menus. Somebody had to walk them, too.
- EDDM postcardsSame pile as the grocery flyers and the car-warranty mail. People can tell junk from the curb.
- Angi & Thumbtack leadsThe same lead goes to three to five contractors. You pay for it whether you win the race to call or not.
- Google adsAn auction. Somebody bids a dollar more and you slide down. Stop paying and you're gone the same day.
A handwritten letter
Hand-addressed, written in ink, signed by you. Handwritten mail gets opened and read far more often than printed mail, because people can tell a real person sat down and wrote it.
- Nobody else in your trade writes to the same households
- It reaches them the month they move in
- It sticks around: on the counter, on the fridge
How it works
Ten minutes of your time, once. Then it runs every month without you.
We capture your handwriting
You fill out one sheet by hand and scan it back. We turn it into your letters, your slant, your spacing.
We find the new movers
Every month we pull the households that just moved into your zip. You never touch a list.
A pen writes each letter
A machine holds a real pen and writes your note in your hand, one letter at a time. No two come out exactly alike.
It lands in their mailbox
Hand-addressed, stamped and mailed. They open it, read it, and keep your number.
The machine that writes your letters. Real pen, real ink, real paper.
Your competitor can't buy your street.
Most zips go to one business per trade. Once you hold yours, the plumber across town can sign up all he wants. He won't be writing to your neighbors.
- One trade, one name on the letterNo household in your zip hears from two businesses in your trade through us. Ever.
- Bigger zips, bigger planSmaller zips are held outright on any plan. Big ones take a bigger plan to hold alone, or get split between two or three businesses in your trade, each writing to different households.
- First come, first servedWhen a zip fills up for a trade, it's closed. We'd rather say no than water it down.
Built for the trades that come to the house.

Two ways to send
Run it every month, or send one batch when you have something to say. Plenty of owners do both.

One batch
No subscription, no territory. You pick the reason and who it goes to; it goes out once.
- Around a job"We just replaced your neighbor's roof." Every house on the block.
- Seasonal tune-upsAC check before summer, furnace before winter, gutters in the fall.
- Past customersWake up the list of people who used you once and forgot your name.
- Thank-yousAfter the job. It's how you get the review and the next call.
Is your area still open?
Put in the zip you want to reach and your trade. Most zips go to one business per trade; the biggest have room for two or three. I'll tell you what's left.

Is it really handwritten?
It's written with a real pen in real ink, in your handwriting. A machine holds the pen and draws each letter, so it isn't a font and it isn't printed. Run your thumb over it and you can feel where the pen pressed.
Whose handwriting is it?
Yours, or whoever signs the letters. You fill out one sheet by hand, once, and we build your handwriting from it. We keep a few versions of each letter so no two cards look stamped out.
How do you find the people who just moved in?
Every month we buy fresh new-mover data for your zip, and the households that just moved in get your letter. You don't need to give us a list or do anything.
What does it cost?
The monthly program is $249 for up to 50 letters, $449 for up to 100, or $999 for up to 250. That covers the data, writing, envelopes, stamps and mailing. One-time batches start at $2.95 a card. See pricing.
Can I cancel?
Yes, any time. No contract. We'd suggest giving it a few months before you judge it, since one month of mail doesn't tell you much. But that's your call.
What if my zip is already taken?
Then someone in your trade got there first, and we won't sell it out from under them. Check a neighboring zip, or leave your details and you'll be first in line if it opens up.
Can I send to my past customers?
Yes. That's a one-time batch: you send us the list, we write and mail the letters. Good for thank-yous, seasonal tune-up reminders, or waking up people who haven't called in a while. One-time sends.
Be the first name they know.
Your zip might still be open. It takes ten seconds to check.
